SELANGOR. December 14, 2016 equal to 14 Rabiul Awwal 1438H – “Establishment Sewing World can have a positive impact in areas such as education, tourism and handicrafts to develop economy and strengthen community life”, said His Royal Highness Tengku Puan Pahang, Tunku Hajjah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Alexandria Alallah Almutawakkil daughter of the late Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj when he leaves polluting dust at the Opening Ceremony of World Sewing held at Sky Park @ One City, Mont. The event organized by the Association of Creative Sewing (SJK) themed ‘Sewing World, Arch Welfare’.
HRH Tengku Puan Pahang who is also the patron of SJK conferred the Malaysian Skills Certificate to 226 students in conjunction with the Convocation Ceremony Epal Handicraft Training Centre (Elke). The students were women, single mothers, housewives, youth and pensioners who majored in Creative Sewing. Also present were the Deputy Minister of Human Resources, Dato ‘Haji Ismail Haji Abdul Muttalib, SJK Chairman, Madam Fully Chye Goet Lee and representatives of agencies involved in the joint development realizing Sewing World.
Sewing World opening the SJK success together agencies such as Elke, Cooperative Trade Seni Malaysia, Mostwell Sdn. Bhd. and Foundation for Innovative Mostwell. Developed on the basis of the principle of love, which aims to fight for the interest and benefit of the community, country and industry. In addition to learning the art of tailoring creative skills, the opportunity to become entrepreneurs in the Socio-economic Improvement Program through SJK Handmade Market.
In Sewing World, hundreds of art works exhibited give space to the visitors looking for ideas to produce new work and learn and enjoy the art of sewing. Sewing World also showcases the art of record in the Guinness World Record (GWR) which, Bag World’s Largest generated using applicable shirts donated by the public as well as the joint 31 government departments and NGOs such as the Women’s Association of Disabled Association Member Tamil and Malay Kuala Lumpur. In addition, exhibited Tailoring Mass Simultaneous to promote Malaysian batik by SJK, Elke and Perbadanan Putrajaya as well as the support of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. The works were recognized in GWR bring a message of love and unity.
